Yvonne Walkinshaw
I have been involved with CCI for about two years. I became interested in their good work through attempting to source out projects in South Lanarkshire that the service users from my workplace (Scottish Society for Autism) could become involved in. I am passionate that those with disabilities should be ‘enabled’ rather than ‘disabled’. I am also passionate about the outdoors, our environment and all things ‘Equine’. To this end, I am trained as a group instructor with the ‘Riding for the Disabled’ organisation, I also have an interest in ‘Equine facilitated learning and education’. When I have any spare time, I can usually be found outdoors, on a horse, or walking the dog, usually accompanied by my long-suffering husband, Alick.
