Outstanding opportunities for people experiencing long term physical or mental health issues, and social disadvantage to participate in a range of social and vocational activities that positively impact on health and wellbeing. All our programmes are designed to enable participants to make a tangible contribution to their community and social enterprise projects.
Many of our programmes and training are delivered in partnership with CAVLP including certified/non certified training and environmental volunteering www.clydeandavonvalley.org
Every participant develops a personal plan with support from a keyworker to ensure that they receive the right level of support and that they best use their placement to improve their health, develop their skills and increase their confidence.
All our projects are based outdoors or involve using natural materials. The health and wellbeing benefits of being outdoors are well documented and researched. Among others The University of Essex have discovered that ‘Green Exercise’ helps to improve psychological wellbeing.

Clydesdale Community Initiatives was initially set-up in 2002 to enable young people at risk and adults with mental health issues to develop a derelict site in Lanark, South Lanarkshire. This project was so successful, with both groups gaining exceptional skills and confidence from their involvement, that it was decided they would undertake further projects.
