CCI are absolutely delighted to announce that they were named as winners of the Enterprising Third Sector Award at Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards on Friday Night. This is the third time that CCI have won this award and all staff and volunteers are overwhelmed that our hard work and dedication has been recognised in this way. Representatives from CCI on the night were Niall McShannon (MD), Colleen Scott (Business Development), Alexandra Stein (Vice Chair), Willie Murphy (Placement Support) and Alex Crossan (Volunteer). We were also delighted to share success with our friends at Border Biscuits who picked up the Lanarkshire Food and Drink Award. A fantastic night was had by all and Alex still hasn’t come down to earth yet!
Clydesdale Community Initiatives was initially set-up in 2002 to enable young people at risk and adults with mental health issues to develop a derelict site in Lanark, South Lanarkshire. This project was so successful, with both groups gaining exceptional skills and confidence from their involvement, that it was decided they would undertake further projects.
